What does a cake smash session involve?

These sessions are some of the most enjoyable experiences as you will be actively encouraging your little one to dig into delicious cake and create as much chaos as possible in front of the camera.

Prior to the session, we will discuss a custom theme, bringing your thoughts and vision to life during your visit. It is important that you let me know of any known skin or food allergies at the time of booking a session. I'll take some time to get acquainted with your child, allowing for some playful moments before capturing beautiful, relaxed and candid photos in their best clothes against a staged backdrop. These are the "clean shots".

If you'd like, you can change them into another outfit for the cake smash, neutral or personalised vests. Then, it’s all about encouraging your child to make as much mess as possible with the wooden spoon and cake! Whilst they might need a little encouragement, the excitement truly begins and I capture the candid images.



After the cake has been thoroughly enjoyed and destroyed, it’s time for a cleanup! I supply a tub filled with warm water & baby bubbles and a fresh towel, ensuring you leave with a sparkling clean child whilst capturing some hilarious moments of splashing about in the tub!

Around 7 days later you will be sent an email with a link to your online passworded gallery where you can view, download and share your images in colour and black & white with the option to purchase a range of prints, artwork and collections direct from your gallery.
